Memorials
In Danielle and Kevin's memory, the Village of Algonquin employees collected donations to plant a tree at the Lions Armstrong Memorial Pool where Danielle and Kevin spent much of their time. Danielle was employed by the Village as a swim instructor and a lifeguard. The tree is planted near the entrance to the pool and the Little League baseball fields where Kevin played.
The tree dedication took place in early November 2002 with friends, family, and village employees present. A plague is placed by the tree with their names and the date we lost them in a tragic automobile accident. It is our hope that all who pass by this tree will remember them and enjoy the beauty the tree provides as it grows and flourishes.
